More Olympic projects- a big well done to Mr. M's classes this time!

The Olympic rings and Olympic torches proved popular, and we have to say a big thank you to Charlie for the Olympic cookies!!

Monday 21 May 2012

7I1 wearing Elinor's Olympic presentation.

Well done Elinor- amazing project. Check out Tony's goggles!

Monday 14 May 2012

And so they start - here come our fantastic Olympics Projects!

This was Hollie's first project since joining the class, and it won her a round of applause! She really went the 'extra mile' here.

This project secured Kelsey another 'A grade with a smiley face'! We also enjoyed the three videos that she had to accompany it. The box that she made to keep her project in was also a fantastic and original idea!

Abdul and Sammy collaborated on this project. The booklet in the bottom right of the picture contained a huge amount of info, and we were all really impressed that they knew this well enough to talk about it.

Callum, Fahim, Rayhan and Sayek are preparing a presentation to tell teachers from other schools all about the fantastic home-learning projects you have produced this year.

Check out Isobel's imaginative timeline, and the pockets that she has made for her information

Well done Libby and Georgia - you went the 'extra mile' once again!

A big well done to Sheika- all of the information is behind the doors!

Ryan with his Olympic Project. Ryan ordered polystyrene rings from the internet and painted them. He then produced a booklet of information to go with the model.Well done Ryan- nearly everybody who entered the classroom this afternoon asked about your work!

Below is the front cover of Labiba's project. You can't tell from the photo, but it was shaped like a team GB T-Shirt. Very imaginative Labiba!

The inside of Labiba's project, featuring Wenlock and Mandeville!

A lovely joint effort from Essie and Abby- they also included a Popplet, and a video of them making their presentation!

Well done Eve - we liked how you based your colour scheme on the Union Jack!

Brenden and Faisal produced a life-sized project. A special thanks also to the member of Y10 who carried it to school for them!

Erin was inspired by a visit to Hobbycraft. We were inspired by how well she talked us through the information that she had researched!

Keep blog-watching - more photos to follow tomorrow!

And is is Mr. S - well done for running the show - a job well done!
Also well done to Nadia - fab first presentation Nadia!

7I1 - home-learning to be proud of!

Front cover of Eleanor's project- very appropriate, as she studied Bletchley Park - a code breaking centre in WW2.

Inside Eleanor's 'top secret' project!

The 'Military Vehicles' topic continues to be popular- this is Liam's project on the subject. Well done Liam.

And here is another 'Military Vehicles' Project. Well done to Sean this time.

More examples of fantastic home-learning coming shortly...

Great presentations today 7H3 - super home-learning again!

Emma certainly went the 'extra mile' with this piece of work. All of the pictures lift up, to reveal even more interesting information.

Well done Nia on a beautifully presented piece of work, showing lots of fantastic research.

An imaginative way of presenting your work on Pearl Harbor Anisa - well done.

Victoria not only made this tank, she also put the information that she had researched inside it.

Check out the plane balanced on the door, and all of the information flying below it - this certainly meets our 'imaginative' success criteria Gyulhan!

And this is all of us and our fantastic work. More pictures to follow - once again, KEEP BLOG-WATCHING!

Monday 12 March 2012

First piece of work from 7H3; Well done Burhan- you've given Rayhan a run for his money!

Burhan chose 'Military Vehicles'. The plane is an American bomber, and is made out of papier mache. You can see that Burhan has also put together an information booklet to accompany the model.

Looking forward to photographing and uploading more 7H3 work tomorrow!

Well done to Elise for inserting hyperlinks into her Winston Churchill document (example below). Great timeline too Elise!

Winston Churchill: German surrender announcement May 7, 1945 - YouTube

Well done to Rayhan also - impressive tank knowledge, and a VERY imaginative method of presentation. More on this to follow...

And another well done to Gurmeet.... Gurmeet produced an excellent movie that met all of our success criteria. The music that accompanied it was very suitable  - the hour you spent selecting this was well spent Gurmeet!

Amazing WW2 home-learning projects: More photos as promised!

This is Haseena's work on 'Military Vehicles'. It meets all of our success criteria- it is imaginative, AND the wheels lift up to reveal her research!

Well done once again to Brenden. The class particularly liked how Brenden included one of his sources (a DVD) in the inside cover. We will try and watch an extract from this next week - Brenden can tell us the best bit!

The 'Military Vehicles' option proved very popular - this is Aneel's work on the topic. We are looking forward to seeing this work presented next week.

Callum also opted to study 'Military Vehicles'. Callum's project included ACTUAL photographs from the time, that one of his family members took!

Again, keep 'blog-watching'- more photos to follow shortly!

'Well done' doesn't do it justice! Nice one Y7!

The work above belongs to Libby. If you lift the King's Speech section and the picture of King George VI, there is even more info!

Abby made this tank - it took 7 hours! Abby also researched battles in which tanks were used.

This is Georgia's project on Pearl Harbour. There is a fantastic timeline on the other side too!

This is a section from Sayek's work on military vehicles. The vehicles have been made from mint boxes, which Sayek has painted. If you open the vehicles up, you will find the research that Sayek has done.

This is just one page of the amazing book that Erin put together on George VI. This book wins the prize for the most glitter I have ever seen on a piece of home-learning!

More pictures to follow very shortly!
